Hi, do I have the latest firmware version?
It is the same release date my GT Combo has which was the latest.
The online OTA software check would be reminding you there is an update if one was there.

There is a way to change the launcher on the GTX to make it the same as the GT Combo, with the "Custom" menu.
I forget where for now, I used to just search it on freesat forum.

I replied here as the Freesat forum access is blocked by my PC browser, so I use my GT Combo TVBrowser to access and that uses remote control mouse pointer, so slow.
Lining logged into Freesat earlier today, Just looked.

Okay, this is a mess, let's try to clarify. First of all, thanks for the reply. My private question was about the old GTLauncher crashing on my GTCOMBO version C20.A9.1.31, and while I was at it, I also asked you how to change the function of the custom button on the remote. Here, I asked if my GTX-COMBO firmware was up to date, fearing that OTA support had ended and I hadn't had time to update it. From your reply, it seems to me that my GTCOMBO has dropped behind instead, which would confirm my hypothesis that the OTA service has stopped and I missed the latest update. After clearing its user data and cache, the old GTLauncher starts normally, but it continues to crash when I try to configure it, either by pressing the custom button on the remote or by clicking on the palette. The old GTLauncher of the GTX-COMBO on the other hand works perfectly. I hope I've made myself clear now.

My GT Combo has the launcher that has the five color options with "Custom" on the far right in red.
My GTX from new had a different launcher and I needed to find the menu to change that to the one that has "Custom".
As for the custom button on the remote, that takes me to the same menu as the "Custom on the main android menu page on the GT Combo.

That's right, the GTC has the white "Custom" text on the far right on the red banner with a palette icon, while the GTX initially has a palette icon at the top, which you can use to switch to the old Launcher if you wish. I understand that customizing the old Launcher works on your GTC with the same firmware as mine, so it's not a bug like I thought. Finally, I understand from your reply that the custom button on the remote control can't be assigned to a custom application, as I thought. Thanks.

Hi again, I understand you own both a GTX and a GTC like me, so I was wondering if you happen to know how to watch a movie from the GTX library directly on the GTC connected to the same private network in another room.

No idea.
I don't use much of the net functions of these boxes.
Would be easier to use a net storage, like a USB drive plugged into your modem, as the video save location in both units, if that can be done.

File share would likely be via an app in both GT and GTX,
