How to Install OSCam on DM800HDSE (Enigma2)

Requirements

DM800HDSE with Enigma2 image (OpenPLi, OpenATV, Newnigma2, etc.)

SSH/Telnet access (PuTTY)

FTP access (FileZilla)

OSCam IPK file

METHOD 1 — Install OSCam Using IPK (Easiest Method)

Download an OSCam .ipk

Search for one of these packages (depending on your image):

enigma2-softcams-oscam.ipk

oscam-modern.ipk

oscam-stable.ipk


Make sure it matches your image architecture:

DM800HDSE = mips32el (mipsel)

Upload to the Box

Using FileZilla:

Upload the .ipk file to:

/tmp/

Install Using Telnet

Open PuTTY → enter box IP → login:

opkg install /tmp/*.ipk

If it shows dependency issues, run:

opkg update
opkg install /tmp/*.ipk --force-overwrite

Start OSCam

Depending on your image:

OpenPLi:

Menu → Applications → Softcam/CI → Select OSCam → Start

OpenATV:

Menu → Information → Softcam → OSCam → Start

Newnigma2:

Blue Panel → Softcams → OSCam → Start

METHOD 2 — Manual OSCam Install

If IPK not working:

Download OSCam binary (mipsel)

Name example:

oscam-1.20-mipsel

Upload to:

/usr/bin/

Set permissions:

chmod 755 /usr/bin/oscam

Create softcam script

Place script here:

/etc/init.d/softcam.oscam

Make executable:

chmod 755 /etc/init.d/softcam.oscam

OSCam Config Folder

Different images use different paths:

Try these:

/etc/tuxbox/config/oscam/
/etc/oscam/
/usr/keys/
/var/keys/

Place files:

oscam.conf

oscam.server

oscam.user

oscam.dvbapi

Access OSCam Web Interface

Default:

http://BOX-IP:8888

Login:

user: root
password: oscam

(may vary depending on build)
